Made a card today in honor of my mom's birthday. Of course I kind of ran out of room to put a sentiment on it, so it doesn't necessarily have to be a birthday card. I even pulled out the glitter (eek, a mess!) I'm happy though. The stamp set is called For All You Do (#115360 $23.95) and the colors are Mellow Moss and Blush Blossom.
Wow, was that fun! I am very excited to report that my first ever stamp camp was a great success. I had to make a little switch in the card lineup because of an unfortunate backorder of the butterfly embosslit for the green/purple card. Since I already had the pieces cut for the card though, I had to quickly improvise and design another card. Here is the replacement card:
I had 7 people come to stamp, and one just came to chat! :) One first-time stamper, and several seasoned professionals. I had planned to have it more organized, but people trickled in and my best intentions went out the window. Everyone wanted to work together at the kitchen table, and it got a little crazy, but I think everyone had a wonderful time. I certainly did!
After the stamp camp ended, my page-a-week girlfriends pulled out their scrapping supplies and we had ourselves a crop party into the wee hours of Sunday morning. Three girls stayed overnight and we carried on today too. Now that's what I call a GREAT weekend!
My desktop computer has seemingly died a slow and painful death. Luckily, my kids got a laptop from their dad last summer though, so I've not been totally cut off from the rest of the world. But it's just not the same...so I've had considerably more time to spend doing other things like stamping! Here are the cards I've made this week, and I'm having so much fun, think I'll keep going. Wahoo!
